Creative Drawing Workshop
Learn to See Like an Artist: Foundations of Drawing
This hands-on drawing workshop is designed for young artists ages 8–12 who want to strengthen their observation skills, build confidence, and learn the fundamentals of drawing.
Students will explore how artists simplify complex subjects into basic shapes, understand proportion, create engaging compositions, and use contour lines to bring drawings to life. Through guided exercises and creative practice, participants will learn to look beyond what they think they see and begin drawing what is actually in front of them.
This workshop focuses on developing the essential skill of observation—the foundation of all drawing, painting, and creative expression. Students will leave with new techniques, greater confidence, and a deeper appreciation for the creative process.
No prior drawing experience is required. All materials are included, including a sketchbook, pencils, pens, and charcoal pencil. Students are encouraged to bring their curiosity and willingness to experiment.
